He was born July 4, 1956, in Oakland, CA, to Donald L. and Billie R. (Posey) Pagos.
Mr. Pagos was an attorney for 30 years in northern Indiana at Sweeney, Dabagia, Thorne and Pagos Law Firm. He was also an adjunct professor of law at Valparaiso University School of Law. He received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Ball State University and his law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. He was a member of the LaPorte County Bar Association, Indiana Public Defender Council, St. Joseph Young Men’s Society and Creek Native American Nation of Oklahoma. He was past president and former member of Pottawattomie Country Club. A self-taught guitar player, he enjoyed golfing and traveling.
On Aug. 20, 1983, in Michigan City, he married Theresa Dynowski, who survives in Michigan City.
Also surviving are a daughter, Lindsey (Sean) Pagos-McGinnis of Dyer, IN; son, Michael Pagos of Michigan City; father and stepmother, Donald L. and Ruth Pagos of Michigan City; sister, Marla Walsh of Lake Geneva, WI; stepbrother, Eric Weaver of Germany; stepsister, Aimee (Jason) Speakman of LaPorte; in-laws, William and Beverly Dynowski of Michigan City; and nephew, Matthew Speakman of LaPorte.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Billie R. Pagos.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services, Michigan City. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday. Cremation will follow services and ashes interred privately in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Michigan City.
