Mrs. Ludwig’s pre-kindergarten class at Crichfield Elementary School recently gave a warm welcome to LaPorte County Sheriff’s Deputy Jon Burger.

Deputy Burger, who is assigned to LaPorte Community Schools as a school resource officer, spoke with the students about the importance of respect.

After the class was finished, the students posed for a photo with Deputy Burger and his police car. Each student in the class was also issued a Junior Deputy Badge.
