Elwood P. Dowd and his beloved 6½-foot tall rabbit, Harvey, will grace the LaPorte Little Theatre for performances on March 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, and 19.
The charming Mr. Dowd insists on including his friend Harvey in all of his sister Veta’s social gatherings. Trouble is, Harvey is invisible to everyone but Elwood. To avoid future embarrassment for her family — and especially for her daughter, Myrtle Mae — Veta decides to have Elwood committed to a sanitarium. Will there be a happy ending?
Directed by Susie Richter, the LaPorte production will feature Noel Carlson, Bonnie Quigley, Katy Gartland, Tim Gartland, John Watterson, Joe Watterson II, Lindsey Baugh, Ava Lee Abraham, Deni Cook, Jim Snyder, Jim Lampl, Kristen Cole, and Harvey as himself.
Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. March 10, 11, 17 and 18, and at 2 p.m. March 12 and 19. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students. Reservations are encouraged; make them at www.laportelittletheatreclub.com or by calling 362-5113, or purchase tickets in advance at Roxy Music Shop or Thaddeus C. Gallery. Still-available tickets will be sold at the door. LaPorte Little Theatre, now in existence for more than 90 years, is located at A and 3rd streets.
