Miller’s Health and Rehab will host an open house at its new location, 3530 Monroe St., LaPorte, on Wednesday, March 29, from 1 to 3 p.m. The public will have an opportunity to tour the new 48,000-square-foot facility. The tour will include the Living Well Fitness Center, with its heated therapeutic saltwater pool; the community meeting room, the Rehab Center with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment, and a combination of private and semi-private patient rooms and living areas. Staff members will also be present to offer fitness demonstrations and education, drawings, giveaways, healthy snacks and hors d’oeuvres.
The new building replaces the skilled unit currently located on the 5th and 6th floors of LaPorte Hospital, which Miller’s Health and Rehab has operated since 2014.
“We have appreciated the opportunity to work closely with dedicated physicians and staff these last few years while housed at the hospital,” said Patrick Boyle, Miller’s Health Systems president and CEO. “We look forward to continuing to grow the relationships with the LaPorte medical community as we work together to get patients back home from their recuperative stays.”
Jake Revere, healthcare administrator at Miller’s, said, “We’re excited to make the move to our new building and to plan new ways to serve not only our patients, but the greater LaPorte community as well.”
