Pets of the Day: felines awaiting families (plus, Gunner has found his home)

Unfortunately, cats and kittens that need homes continue to be in high numbers because of owners’ failure to spay or neuter. Please consider this fact so the number of homeless cats can be reduced in the future. Meantime, these beautiful creatures are at the LaPorte County Small Animal Shelter, waiting for homes.

If you’re interested in giving any of these kitties or any other shelter pet a home, call 219-326-1637 or visit the shelter at 2855 W. Ind. 2, LaPorte. Adoption hours are Monday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
