7 from LP, MC, KH arrested for dealing drugs

The LaPorte County Drug Task Force, with the assistance of the Fugitive Apprehension Street Team, arrested seven individuals on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, for dealing in narcotics. The arrests come after investigations by the task force into each of the individuals over an extended period of time.  

Wyse

Those arrested:

Gregory WYSE, 23 of Michigan City; Dealing a Controlled Substance Level 6 Felony (two counts)

Kraus

Nicole KRAUS, 32 of LaPorte; Dealing a Controlled Substance Level 5 and Level 6 (two counts)

Wroblewski

Alexis WROBLEWSKI, 29 of LaPorte; Dealing a Controlled Substance Level 3 Felony, Dealing a Controlled Substance Level 4 Felony, and Dealing a Controlled Substance Level 6 Felony (3 counts)

Hancock

John HANCOCK, 45 of Kingsford Heights; Dealing Cocaine Level 3 (3 counts), and Dealing Cocaine Level 4 Felony

Kevin WESTON, 38 of Michigan City; Dealing Cocaine Level 5 Felony (2 counts)

Weston

Charles PETERSON, 64 of Michigan City; Dealing a Controlled Substance Level 4 Felony, and Dealing a Controlled Substance Level 5 Felony

Zachary ALVARADO, 24 of Michigan City; Dealing a Controlled Substance Level 5 Felony, and Dealing a

Peterson

Controlled Substance Level 6 Felony (2 counts)

The LaPorte County Drug Task Force continues to aggressively pursue individuals who sell narcotics within our community, and values the partnerships we have with residents who voice their concerns, and observations that they have with illicit activities in their neighborhoods. The investigations involving these individuals is ongoing, and the task force anticipates more arrests as a result of those investigations.

The task force was assisted in these investigations and subsequent arrests by the LaPorte County Emergency Response Team, LaPorte County Warrants Division, and the LaPorte County Prosecutor’s Office.

The task force encourages citizens to use social media and the crime tip hotline at 219-873-1488 to report suspected narcotic activity.

    I hope these people can get the help that they need now. So when they get out this don’t happen again. I don’t think locking people up and throwing away the key is the answer. They should be put into a drug program like drug court.
