The LaPorte City Band  opened its Arts in the Park season on Wednesday, June 7, at the Dennis F. Smith Amphitheater in Fox Park. Come and enjoy its free concerts every Wednesday night at 7 p.m. through Aug. 9.

The LaPorte Municipal Band began performing for citizens in 1879, and has continued to perform throughout the years. In addition, he maintains an active trumpet studio here in LaPorte, as well as Lakeshore High School and Portage High School. He also performs in trumpet extensively throughout the Michiana area with such groups as the LaPorte County Symphony, the Elkhart County Symphony, the St. Joseph Municipal Band, Windiana, the North American Brass Company, and the Tom Milo Big Band.
