June 19, 1917 — One of LaPorte’s most progressive business houses is in need of a competent bookkeeper, man preferred.

June 19, 1967 — One of the greatest celebrations in local history was held Saturday night following LaPorte’s state baseball championship win.

June 19, 1992 — U.S. Roman Catholic bishops are at odds over a proposed document that reiterates Vatican opposition to allowing women to become priests.

June 19, 2007 — A proposed local ordinance limits the use of fireworks to certain days of the year.
