Patricia Wahlig, 1931-2017

Patricia Wahlig, 86, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017.

She was born February 20, 1931, in Peru, Indiana, to John D. and Florence (Dick) Bradley. 

Patricia retired from Howmet in January of 1992 after 25 years of service. She attended Door Village United Methodist Church, volunteered at LaPorte Hospital, and was a member of a diabetics support group, the Swanson senior center, and the Quarter Century Club at Howmet.  She enjoyed garage sales.

On January 1, 1951, Patricia married Michael Wahlig, who preceded her in death on November 17, 1990.

Surviving is a daughter, Beth Eckert of Plymouth, Indiana; sons, Timothy Wahlig of LaPorte and Gregory Scott Wahlig of LaPorte; grandchildren, Genia (Bryan) O’Donnell and Tricia (Robert) Eckert; great-grandsons, Brock, Brett and Braxton; and sisters, Sharon (Chris) Newhouse of Wabash, Indiana, and Beverly Anakor of Brownsburg, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 8, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, LaPorte.  A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. immediately following visitation. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte.

    I’m so sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. She worked with my mom at Howmet and Mike worked with my husband Larry. Was always good to see and talk to her. My sympathy to the entire family.
