June donations to museum include former sheriff’s revolver

Information provided

Visitors to the LaPorte County Historical Society Museum for the month of June 2017 came from 16 Indiana counties, 18 states and the United Kingdom. Two auto groups visited. The LaPorte High School Class of 1967 visited the museum as well.

Recent events

The yearly Variety Show was held June 17 and was very well received. A successful fundraiser for the Historical Society was held at Buffalo Wild Wings on June 7.

Upcoming events

On July 29 the 10th annual Old Car Show will be held on the grounds of the museum. Cars must be 30 years old or older and drivers may register between 8 and 11 a.m. Public viewing starts at 9 a.m. and admission that day only will be $5 a carload, for both the car show and the museum.
