Pets of the Day: feline fiesta (but some kitties did find a home Monday!)

The dilemma continues of unwanted cats and kittens turning up at the LaPorte County Small Animal Shelter and all shelters. Unless spayed or neutered, cats (often feral) spawn litters of homeless kittens — and eventually adult cats. As is so often the case, the shelter has plenty of felines from which to choose right now. Consider opening your home to one of these beautiful creatures.

If you’re interested in adopting a cat, kitten or any of the shelter’s pets available for adoption, call 219-326-1637 or visit the shelter at 2855 W. Ind. 2, LaPorte. Adoption hours are Monday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Check back with WNLP and visit the LaPorte County Small Animal Shelter page on Facebook to see pets up for adoption, as well as adoption success stories and pets brought in as strays.

And here are 3 kittens who struck the jackpot Monday:
