Sept. 13, 1917 — Anti-German riots cause much damage in Buenos Aires.

Sept. 13, 1967 — This is the first day of classes at the new $3 million college facility, the Purdue North Central campus, on Road 421 west of here.

Sept. 13, 1992 — The first of 500 armed U.N. soldiers arrive in the capital of Somalia to help prevent looting of food meant for up to 2 million starving Somalis.

Sept. 13, 2007 — A new local anti-intermodal group has a name, a schedule, and even a song.
