Oct. 12, 1967 — The Indiana Supreme Court votes 3-2 in support of the LaPorte County Council’s decision to move Superior Court No. 2 to Michigan City.

Oct. 12, 1992 — LaPorte County voters have signed up in record numbers and they’re looking for change, says Sue Coffeen, voter registration co-director.

Oct. 12, 2007 — The Michigan City Public Library celebrates its 110th birthday.
