It’ll be an LP-MC sectional final after Slicers defeat SB Adams, 40-19

When they met in the regular season this year, the LaPorte Slicers and the MIchigan City Wolves gave fans an epic game with the Slicers scoring in the final seconds to win.

Well, they’re back.

The Slicers defeated South Bend Adams, 40-19, Friday night, Oct. 27, 2017, to advance to the sectional final. Meanwhile the Wolves defeated Munster, 28-14.

The Wolves will host the sectional final game Friday, Nov. 3, at Ames Field. Game time is 7 p.m. You can buy your tickets in advance at both the LaPorte and Michigan City high school athletic offices beginning Monday, Oct. 30. All tickets are $6, whether purchased in advance or at the gate.

In their game vs. Adams, the Slicers scored 7 in the 1st quarter, 20 in the 2nd, 7 in the 3rd and 6 in the 4th. Isaac Alexander was leading rusher with 153 yards and 2 TDs. Drayson Nespo gathered 103 yards and scored twice. Nolan Lorenz rushed for 40 yards and scored once, and Michael Peeples ran for 60 yards and scored once. Defensively, Norah Perez, Zach Purnell and Kaleek Biggers each had a sack and Grant Seaburg had 2 sacks and forced a fumble.
