Wolves triumphant over Slicers in sectional final, 38-10

The Slicers fought hard but could not repeat their regular-season victory over rival Michigan City in the football sectional final Nov. 3, 2017, at Ames Field. The Wolves’ win marked their first football sectional victory for MCHS since Rogers and Elston merged in 1995.

In the 38-10 win, it was all Michigan City in the first half as the Wolves scored 31 points. The Slicers managed to put 10 on the board in the 3rd quarter with a Drayson Nespo touchdown and a safety, but that was it for LaPorte. The Wolves put the game away with another 7 points in the 4th quarter.

The Wolves advance to the regional.
