Nov. 14, 1917 — Italy is looking to the U.S. as her savior for financial and moral assistance in her hour of deepest distress.

Nov. 14, 1967 — State and Michigan City police seize $60,000 worth of marijuana and arrest four area men.

Nov. 14, 1992 — LaPorte County Christmas trees have been placed under partial quarantine because of a pine beetle infestation.

Nov. 14, 2007 — John Yates, whose family had owned LaPorte Sporting Goods since 1953, sells the downtown business.
