Suspect arrested after Nov. 12 murder of Michigan City man

Joshua Ratliff, 22, of Michigan City, is charged with Probable Cause for Murder in the Nov. 12, 2017, shooting death of Brian Turner of Michigan City. Ratliff was being held in LaPorte County Jail on $1 million bond.

Michigan City Police said Turner was found shot to death in a Spring Street apartment just after midnight on Nov. 12. After interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence, detectives identified Ratliff as a suspect and arrested him late in the morning of Nov. 12.

The investigation is still ongoing and anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Lead Detective Kay Pliske at 219-874-3221 Ext. 1077.
