Nov. 20, 1917 — LaPorte will entertain 100 or more physicians when the Tri-state Medical Association convenes for its 44th annual meeting. They will learn about treatment of infections and wounded soldiers.

Nov. 20, 1967 — The U.S. Census hits 200 million today.

Nov. 20, 1992 — Someone fired at least three shots toward John Coulter’s Westville house. There was another incident that same night in the Wanatah area.

Nov. 20, 2007 — Stop Intermodals/Save Our County Co-Chair Ty Murray believes his group notched a significant victory with the announcement that CSX isn’t interested in locating in LaPorte County.
