The life and hymns of famed English Anglican cleric and theologian John Wesley will be featured at the Jan. 5, 2018, First Friday in the Chapel at LaPorte Hospital. The program begins at noon and is free and open to the public.

Local civic leader, historian, choir member and former healthcare executive Leigh Morris will present highlights of Wesley’s life, and has chosen five hymns for attendees to sing together. The program is titled “Make a Joyful Noise Unto the Lord.”

A member of the Chancel Choir at the Presbyterian Church of La Porte, Morris is known for sharing his appreciation for joyful music with the community. He often leads the Rotary Club of LaPorte in song during their weekly meetings, and is a regular attendee of First Friday in the Chapel performances.
