William Thomas “Tom” Simms Sr., 1940-2018

Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, LaPorte, is handling the arrangements for William Thomas “Tom” Simms Sr., 77, of LaPorte, Indiana, who passed away Monday, January 1, 2018.

Tom was born April 11, 1940, in White Oak, Missouri, to Floyd and Ruby (Frederick) Simms.

Tom retired from American Rubber as a supervisor.

Tom is survived by a daughter, Reneta (Curt) Elston of LaPorte; a son, William Thomas “Bill” Simms Jr. (Laura Ellison) of Campbell, Missouri; a grandson, Chris (Amanda) Elston of Knox, Indiana; two great-grandchildren, Alyra and Zayden Elston; two sisters, Maybelle Hager and Paula Brown; and three brothers, James, Jackie and Louis Simms.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John, Willis, and Jessie; and a sister, Elizabeth.

Cremation has taken place.
