UPDATE JAN. 6 FROM DNR: “Indiana Conservation Officers received an anonymous tip from a citizen on Jan. 5 which led to the recovery of both snowmobiles. Since then an arrest has been made and several more are pending as the investigation continues. The Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division is thankful for the overwhelming response and assistance of our citizens. Without the support of the community and your willingness to share this story, this outcome would not have been possible. This investigation is continuing and no other information is available at this time.”

Indiana Conservation Officers are offering a $1,000 reward and seeking public assistance in attempt to locate two stolen law enforcement snowmobiles. The snowmobiles were stolen on or around Dec. 15, 2017, from Potato Creek State Park near North Liberty.

Both snowmobiles are 2017 yellow and white Ski-Doo MXZ Sport 600’s. Registration numbers are OR2898RH and OR2899RH.

Anyone with information should contact Indiana Conservation Officers Central Dispatch at 812-837-9536. A $1,000 reward will be paid for information leading to the arrest and/or recovery of the snowmobiles. Callers with information may choose to remain anonymous.
