Nancy, I am very sorry for your loss. I’ve known Gene since 1967. Always friendly. I loved hearing him talk about his days as a naval aviator flying off the deck of a carrier. He said the rush of the take-off was tempered by the absolute terror of landing back on the heaving deck that looked no bigger than a stamp. Whenever I would run into him he always remembered me. I last saw him a year or so ago, we shared memories for quite a while. He will certainly be missed.
