Freckle Farm Primitives and Antiques officially celebrated its opening at

508 State St., LaPorte, on March 3, 2018. with a ribbon cutting administered

by the Greater LaPorte Chamber of Commerce.

The store opened in the location late in 2017 and offers a wide variety of goods: primitive cupboards, cabinets, early farmhouse goods, industrial, salvage and much more. New items are in weekly.

Store hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m.-4 p.m.

Krystal Beauchemin, owner of Freckle Farm, said at the event, “Antiquing and junking

and being thrifty are in my blood. I was always making crafts or quilting, even while

raising my family. When we moved back to my hometown of LaPorte, I got a booth at

some of the antique stores, and at the house we converted our 3-car garage into a store. I never had room to spread my wings, and my dream was to have more space to be able to create displays and stage my antiques so they shine. I love my new space, and I am so thankful to God and my family for the support.”
