Learn about grant writing for businesses, organizations at April 24 WILL event


Women in Leadership of LaPorte County will presents “Winning Grants Among 917 Competitors” on Tuesday, April 24, from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at the Dworkin Student Services and Activities Center at Purdue Northwest in Westville.

Did you know there are 917 nonprofit organizations in LaPorte County? At “Winning grants among 917 competitors,” learn how to stand out among other applicants. Patricia Doyle, Director of Corporate, Foundation, and Government at St. Mary’s College at Notre Dame, will teach you all you need to know to successfully wins grants for your organization.

Doyle has written federal, state, and local grants during her 40-year career in healthcare and community involvement in the arts. In 2005, she established Doyle and Associates, which focused on development and fundraising through grants. She joined Saint Mary’s College in 2012 and has since help facilitate over $7 million in federal, corporate and foundation grants for the college.

The cost is $40 for WILL members and $50 for non-members. A continental breakfast will be served. Registration begins at 8 a.m.
