May 22, 1918 — Ninety thousand American soldiers were taken to France during the first ten days of May.

May 22, 1968 — The LaPorte Chamber of Commerce studies proposals for an overpass at Pine Lake-Madison avenues and an underpass at Clay Street.

May 22, 1993 — The north intersection of Ind. 2 and U.S. 421 in Westville will gain a stoplight, lose a hill, and be simplified this summer.

May 22, 2008 — A jeweler on Lincolnway says a woman stole a diamond ring while an employee was running several credit cards that were denied.
