New Market on Main event in Westville debuts June 2

The Westville Area Chamber of Commerce will host the first Market on Main event on June 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. along the town’s Main Street. The fest will feature artisans, crafters and vendors of vintage items.

Market on Main will feature more than 40 local artisans and vendors. Local restaurants will be featuring special foods and there will be live entertainment. A 21-and-over craft beer and wine tent sponsored by Four Fathers Brewing will be open from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Burn ‘Em Brewing and Misbeehavin’ Meads will also be serving their special craft beers. The $10 cover charge to enter the tent includes a free pour from the brewery of your choice. All cover charges will be donated to Rylee Christianson, a 6th grader at Westville Elementary who is recovering from a rare form of liver cancer.

An all-ages after party will take place at Jimmy’s Grub & Pub on Main Street immediately following the market. A portion of sales from the party will also be donated to Rylee Christianson.

The Westville Chamber of Commerce will celebrate its 60th Anniversary next year, so Market on Main was an opportunity for the Chamber to bring the community together, to show other communities what Westville has to offer, and to expand commerce in the downtown area.

“Market on Main will give people a reason to come into Westville and this will increase our visibility and possibly be a platform for future businesses and families to come to our area,” said Drew Buchanan, Westville chamber president.
