U.S. citizenship classes offered at LP library starting June 12

Citizenship classes to help people from language backgrounds other than English pass the U.S. citizenship test will be held at LaPorte County Public Library on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., starting June 12. There will be four ten-week sessions. There is no charge for the classes or materials.

The classes are sponsored by READ LaPorte County, Inc. They will be taught by Cathy Eldridge, a former French and English as a Second Language teacher. They are funded by a generous grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.
