June 19, 1918 — Many more men are needed for farm labor in the opinion of the advisory cabinet of the chamber of commerce in charge of trying to provide the farmers with help to save their grain.

June 19, 1968 — Thousands of Americans who shared the slain Dr. Martin Luther King’s final dream march join his widow to the Lincoln Memorial in a climax to the Poor People’s Campaign.

June 19, 1993 — Charles McSurley’s garage is built almost entirely out of shell boxes from the Kingsbury Ordnance Plant.

June 19, 2008 — LaPorte farmers market vendors are from the county, so their produce has not come into contact with floodwaters that could be contaminated with microorganisms in other parts of Indiana.
