July 11, 1918 — Italian troops cooperating with the French in the Albanian offensive capture four towns and 1,300 Austro-Hungarian prisoners.

July 11, 1968 — Dance at The Fun House, Upper Fish Lake, with music by The Newtrend.

July 11, 1993 — Floodwaters knock out the water system in Des Moines and leave thousands without electricity as the out-of-control Mississippi and its tributaries swallow land across the Midwest.

July 11, 2008 — About seven years ago, the LaPorte Jaycees were down to about 10 active members. Despite their increase in members, it’s still not where they want to be, so they have a secret incentive.
