Can you tell the human pig from the real pigs in these fair photos?

WNLP photos (except for the first one) by Bob Wellinski

One of our contributors’ talents goes way beyond photography. Witness the first photo below that shows Wellinski fighting valiantly to regain his title in the fair’s pie-eating contest. He prevailed.

Also in this most recent batch of Bob’s photos: swine judging (including Colton Rosenbaum in green shirt showing his grand-champion barrow and hoisting the trophy), a little one enjoying delectable fair food, All American Pig Racing, State Rep. Jim Pressel milking a goat during a Farm Bureau contest, LaPorte County Fair Queen Janelle Mitzner claiming the goat-milking prize over Pressel; A Bear Hollow Wood Carver transforming a large log into an animal sculpture; the antique tractor parade; a boy naps in the draft horse barn; draft horse judging; buttery sweet corn from Burek’s Farm; the Rolling Stone Rodeo; and horse competition.

Looking dignified as always, Wellinski dives face-first into a pie at the annual fair contest. No surprise: He won.
