The LaPorte County Small Animal Shelter drew its biggest Dog Days turnout ever on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at the fairgrounds. At least 200 people and their four-footed friends enjoyed learning about available rescues, viewing police K-9 demonstrations, shopping vendors’ pet-related products, and even enjoying a kissing booth featuring a very affectionate Golden Retriever named Cooter. And the best news: Some available rescues found new homes.

The event was sponsored by KarahTess Clothing & Lettering and Sara Kessler Photography, with all proceeds directly benefiting rescue animals and local shelters.
