LaPorte Missionary Church breaks ground for major addition

On Sunday morning, Aug. 26, 2018, the LaPorte Missionary Church held a groundbreaking ceremony at its location at 104 E. 18th St. LPMC is adding a major addition to its facility, which will include a new 300-seat sanctuary, a large foyer for social gatherings, new restrooms, a mothers’ room, and a coffee nook.

The project’s contractor is Larson-Danielson Construction Co. of LaPorte, and the architect is Chet Gamble of CTG Associates, Bremen, IN.

Construction will begin in early September, with a targeted completion of early spring of 2019.

Special guests at the groundbreaking included: Missionary Church District Superintendent Rev. Joe Wenger and wife Diana; former State Rep. Tom Dermody; Mayor Mark Krentz and wife Laura; City Councilman Miles Fettinger; architect Chet Gamble and wife Karen; and Larson-Danielson representatives Brian Larson, David Burris and David Merkel and his wife Gina.
