Sept. 11, 1918 — The LaPorte Baseball Association is in the throes of dissolution because of insolvency. Advance-Rumely is to erect a mammoth warehouse on the ground where baseball talent formerly cavorted.

Sept. 11, 1968 — Attend a smorgasbord at the Masonic Temple by LaPorte Chapter OES for $1.75.

Sept. 11, 1993 — The American Association of Retired Persons establishes a center in Washington to help Americans raising their grandchildren.

Sept. 11, 2008 — A man employed by the Department of Administration in Indianapolis goes around road closure signs and gets his car stuck on rail tracks near LaCrosse. The state-owned car was heavily damaged.
