How was 30th Children’s Concert received by the young ones? Check out Bob’s photos

Hundreds of students from LaPorte and surrounding school systems lit up the Civic Auditorium with smiles at the LaPorte County Symphony Orchestra’s 30th Children’s Education Concert Oct. 10, 2018. Three concerts were held to accommodate all the kids.

Composer Rick DeJonge guest conducted his original education concert program, “Magical World of Music,” with the assistance of Interim Music Director Charles Steck. The program incorporates theater, dance, movie scoring, and video gaming styles of classical music into an interactive and multimedia lesson on the power of music, including a special tap dance number performed by professional dancer Jennifer Carlson.
