Nov. 9, 1968 — Steve Raymond, the new LaPorte recreation director, says combining the recreation, park and Civic Auditorium services under one administrator would be more efficient.

Nov. 9, 1993 — The CBS television show “Rescue 911” will re-enact a 5-year-old Hamlet boy’s accident while he was climbing a 1,000-pound tool chest that toppled over on him.

Nov. 9, 2008 — A man finds his cat, which had been missing for two days, and learns it had been shot with an arrow.
