Marilyn Allen, 1950-2018

Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, LaPorte, is handling the arrangements for Marilyn Allen, 67, of LaPorte, Indiana, who passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018.

She was born July 31, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, to Harold and Maxine (Mrozinski) Daisy.

Marilyn worked at American Rubber for 18 years. She loved playing Yahtzee and enjoyed her family.

On April 28, 1969, Marilyn married Boyd Allen, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Diana (Gary Stewart) Allen of LaPorte; a grandson, Christopher Boyd Allen; siblings, Roberta Wilson of Knox, Indiana, John Daisy of LaPorte, Donald (Sally) Daisy of Knox, Norman Daisy of Louisiana, Gerald (Jessie) Daisy of Louisiana, Cindy (Joe) Bragg of LaPorte, Caroline Collins, her twin sister, of LaPorte, Harold (Linda) Daisy of LaPorte, Eugene Daisy of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Shirley Moore of Smyrna, Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, February 1, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, LaPorte. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 2, at the funeral home with Pastor Barry Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton, Indiana.

    So very sorry for your loss. You have gained another Angel to watch over you. We have lost so many long time American Rubber employees lately wonder if they are starting a shop up there. She’ll be waiting watching till we can all meet again.

    Boyd, I’m so sorry for your loss. Marilyn was not only my Avon customer but my friend too! I came to enjoy our little visits! She was a dear, sweet woman who will be missed greatly. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers. RIP, Marilyn!
