Rosalie Wright, 1928-2018

Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte, is handling the arrangements for Rosalie Wright, 89, of LaPorte, who passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018, at Brentwood in LaPorte.

Rosalie was born in Shelburn, Indiana, on September 28, 1928, to Millard and Lela (Trueblood) Noel.

On August 24, 1947, she married Jack Wright, who preceded her in death in 2007.  

Surviving are her beloved children, Dean A. (Linda) Wright of LaPorte and Randy (Sue) Wright of Springboro, OH; 8 grandchildren, Susan Birkeland, Mike, Jason, Stephanie, Alec, Andrew, Joshua and Kristin Wright; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, James Madison of LaPorte.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Wright; daughter, Joyce Madison; son, Steven D. Wright; grandsons, Scott and Daniel Wright; and 9 brothers and sisters.

Rosalie was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Kingsford Heights. She loved flowers, gardening, sewing and bowling, and was an avid Slicer fan. Most of all, Rosalie loved spending time with family and especially her grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at noon CST on Saturday, February 17, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte. Interment will take place at Kingsbury Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. CST on Friday, February 16, and from 11 am CST until the service on Saturday.

    Dean & Randy, Will be thinking of you today during the service. We enjoyed knowing your Mom & Dad while living in the KOP Circle . They were great friends and neighbors. We miss both of them. Max & Pam

    Dean and Randy, It is with heartfelt sadness and sympathy that I send this note. Rose was a huge part of by “younger years” as Joyce Ann and I grew up together. I once read that “the pain of a loved ones death doesn’t go away. it just changes”. I have learned that to be true.
