Informational meetings for upcoming trip to Washington, D.C., are March 14 and 19

The annual non-school-sponsored trip to Washington, D.C., for area 8th graders, middle school students and high school students will take place June 13-19, 2018. Students from Kesling, Boston, South Central and Wanatah schools, as well as other qualified students from other area middle schools, are welcome. High school students from these same schools who are qualified are welcome to apply. Parents are also welcome, as are veterans who would like to take their grandchild, niece or nephew on this trip of a lifetime. Information is now available for the “National Treasures Tour” to Washington, D.C., which will also include stops in Philadelphia and Gettysburg. Space is limited. Sign up is first come, first serve. As of this date the trip has about 10-15 openings available.

For more information, visit or attend one of two informational meetings: Wednesday, March 14, or Monday, March 19, at 7 p.m. in the Kesling Middle School Auditorium 306 E. 18th St., LaPorte. Please enter from the back of the building through Door 9. The meeting will cover and discuss the tour application process, trip itinerary and costs.
