March 14, 1918 — President Wilson has a narrow escape from being run down by a moving van in Washington. He was crossing Fifteenth Street just ahead of three Secret Service men.

March 14, 1968 — The record rush to buy gold on the world markets reaches panic proportions in a growing attack on the dollar.

March 14, 1993 — A deadly blizzard kills at least 115 people from Canada to Cuba.

March 14, 2008 — A developer is seeking approval for a “gentlemen’s club” near the New Buffalo casino.
