April 6, 1918 — Scarcely a person in all Indiana escaped the query, “Have you bought a bond?” today.

April 6, 1968 — President Johnson today deals with the racial tension at home and the possible Vietnam peace developments abroad.

April 6, 1993 — LaPorte High School seniors may attend a baccalaureate service after all this year, thanks to the efforts of the school’s Student Council and the LaPorte Ministerial Association.

April 6, 2008 — Fifteen years after Rayna Rison’s murder, despite a grand jury indictment, the case remains open.
