James Janosky, 1941-2018

Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LaPorte, is handling the arrangements for James A. Janosky, 77, of LaPorte, Indiana, who passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Golden Living Center-Countryside in LaPorte.

He was born January 27, 1941, in South Haven, Michigan, the son of Paul Janosky Sr. and Geraldine (Cummings) Cota.

James was a hardworking man. He enjoyed working outside, and he loved his family.

On July 15, 1961, in LaPorte, he married Patricia A. (Mathias) Janosky, who preceded him in death on February 3, 2018.

He is survived by his daughter, Terri Wisler of LaPorte, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by both his parents; son, Brian Janosky; and brother, Paul Janosky Jr.

There will be no visitation or service. Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LaPorte, is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.

    I know this is devastating. We were just here only 3 months ago with your mom. But if there is a silver lining, it’s that uncle Jim is finally at piece and free of his pain. And mostly, he’s with your mom!
