Pedaling through the heat and humidity, bicyclists young and old hit the LaPorte County roads Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018, as part of the 2018 Tour De LaPorte. The 3-day event, in its 16th year, includes biking routes ranging 5-100 miles; running/walking events including a 5k trail route through Soldiers Memorial Park, as well as Saturday morning running/walking events that include 5K, 10K and half marathon.

Between 2002-2017 Tour De LaPorte has raised $656,706, which has gone to help 991 local cancer patients.

Many thanks to the Healthcare Foundation of LaPorte, all the contributors and especially the volunteers who have made this event so successful.

Photos below include shots of volunteers serving up food at the Firefly SAG stop on CR-700W and gathering for a photo, young volunteers taking a break to check out the horses, and bicyclists on the road.
