LaPorte native Antony Zeller wins Emmy for Netflix series episode

LaPorte native Antony Zeller, a 1992 graduate of LaPorte High School, was awarded an Emmy Saturday evening, Sept. 8, 2018. Zeller won the Emmy as the Supervising Foley Editor on an episode of “Stranger Things: Chapter Eight: The Mind Flayer.” “Stranger Things” is a science-fiction series that airs on Netflix.

Antony is the son of Bonnie and Alan Zeller of LaPorte. He moved to the Los Angeles area in about 2000 and presently lives in Santa Clarita, California.

A Foley Editor refers to an expert artist who edits and refines the audio of a film.

On its site, Netflix describes the “Stranger Things” premise: “When a young boy vanishes, a small town uncovers a mystery involving secret experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one strange little girl.” For more about the series, visit

While the televised Emmy show will air Sept. 17, the Television Academy awards some Emmys ahead of time in the Creative Arts categories.
