The Cougars went 7-4 on the season and 3-2 in the conference before being stopped by South Bend St. Joe, 42-30, in an action-packed round 2 sectional game Friday, Oct. 26, at St. Joe.

A synopsis from the New Prairie football web page: “New Prairie quarterback Chase Ketterer ran for 289 yards and threw for 61 more, but two Cougar fumbles, an interception, and two Saint Joseph kickoff returns for touchdowns spelled doom for the Cougars. Ketterer scored all four Cougar touchdowns, as well as a 2-point conversion. The Cougars added a safety by blocking a punt out of the end zone. Daniel Tyler ran for 93 yards. Mike Klemczak recovered a Saint Joseph fumble.”

Dan Stone (5) motors to the end zone near the end of his 98-yard TD run, which may very well be a New Prairie record.
