Sosa-Ortega

The LaPorte County Drug Task Force announces the arrest of Luis F. Sosa-Ortega, 24, of South Bend, for Dealing in Cocaine, Level 2 Felony. The task force began an investigation in the spring of 2018 after tips that Sosa-Ortega was supplying cocaine to LaPorte County residents.

After obtaining a warrant, the task force and LaPorte County sheriff’s officers conducted a controlled traffic stop on Sosa-Ortega near Ind. 2 and CR-600 East. He was taken into custody without incident.

The LaPorte County Drug Task Force remains committed to investigating individuals who transport and/or distribute drugs into LaPorte County from outside communities. Citizens are encouraged to report suspicious drug activity to the crime tip hotline at 219-873-1488, or through social media.
