Lake Station man charged with Nov. 26 MC service station robbery


A Lake Station man is charged with the Nov. 26, 2018, robbery of the Murphy USA gas station at 250 E. Kieffer Rd., Michigan City.

Michigan City Police stated in a press release that Timothy J. Ericksen, 35, is charged with Robbery, Level 5 felony, after the morning theft at the service station.  

Police said Ericksen was quickly identified as a suspect and also had an outstanding arrest warrant for probation violation stemming from a previous burglary.

Ericksen was arrested in Porter on Nov. 27 on the outstanding warrant and subsequently charged with the Murphy USA robbery.

    Look at it this way Timothy…possible sentence for Level 5 felony as between one (1) and six (6) years, in the Indiana Department of Corrections, with the advisory sentence being three (3) years. Three hots, a cot and best of all a roommie!
