Happy New Year! Enjoy these exceptional WNLP shots from 2018

It’s always eye-opening to comb through a year’s worth of WNLP posts and relive the many moments of beauty and emotion that took place, captured by our wonderful photographers Bob Wellinski and Mike Kellems, as well as our readers. Here are a few (OK, more than a few) we picked out for you to enjoy once again. Happy New Year from WNLP.

Pastor Carl Galloway followed the growth of a red tail hawk family near the peak of the LaPorte courthouse and captured these two guarding the edifice with a young’un in the nest to the left.

In November, more than 400 gathered in LaPorte to both mourn and celebrate the life of Dr. Tamara O’Neal, a LaPortean, an LPHS grad, and a Slicer, who was shot and killed in a domestic incident in Chicago. Her death drew national attention, largely because of her story of achievement and her aura of joy. The O’Neal family graciously allowed WNLP to cover the ceremony for posterity’s sake.
