John was one of the most dedicated persons I have met in terms of devoting his life to helping youth. His patience and positive attitude plus his calm demeanor helped hundreds of LaPorte youth enjoy the sports of baseball and bowling. He was a model for us all!
My condolences to the family members on your loss. Our prayers go out to you.

    Sid and the Weeks family,

John was one of those rare people who beamed with kindness and positivity! I can only imagine how proud all of you are for what this man accomplished and represented. I remember him every Saturday morning coaching many of us kids who dreamed of rolling a “300” some day. All of us who remember him were lucky to have known him and just imagine what would T-Bird have been without him!

    RIP Mr. Bowling.

    Dale and family:
Your dad was one of the men who gave their time and energy to LaPorte Baseball. Nothing says more about an individual that gives his time to young people freely and with passion. Your dad was passionate about baseball and we’re a better community because of him.
My prayers are with your family,

    Scotty Ford

John Weeks was one of the great encouragers in life. He was one of my favorite Sunday School teachers at the First United Methodist Church and later taught me to bowl a Thunderbird Lanes.

The good Lord called one of the best home.

Dale, I am so sorry for your loss. Your Dad was an amazing man who did so much for so many people in La Porte, I am so glad that a few years ago I was able to personally express my appreciation to him in your presence. May his sacrifices on behalf of youth sports in La Porte never be forgotten.

    Sincerely,
    Jeff Hunter
