Update Wednesday night: Water main in Westville is fixed; boil order remains in effect

Update at 10 p.m. from Westville Police:
Regarding the water main break in the town of Westville, the break has been repaired and water service to the entire town was restored by 9:30 p.m. A boil order will remain in place until testing can be completed.
Wednesday afternoon press release:
The Westville Police Department is working with the Town of Westville Utilities to alert the community’s residents of a disruption in water service. Shortly after midnight (Jan. 30, 2019) a water main break was discovered on Main Street near the downtown. Crews have been working to make repairs, however have been hampered by the extreme cold.
Town Marshal Darin Mercer would like all area resident to be aware of a disruption in the water service beginning at the time of this release (June 30 afternoon). The affected area will be all residents south of Allen John Drive in the town of Westville.
An updated release will be sent out once full water service has been restored. A boil order has been put into effect immediately and until further notice.
