Feb. 1, 1919 — Sixty manufacturers of passenger automobiles are preparing for the opening of the nineteenth annual auto show in New York.

Feb. 1, 1969 — The Slicers wanted the Victory Bell in the cage rivalry with the Red Devils at the Civic, but after a 44-35 halftime lead, they lost 76-72.

Feb. 1, 1994 — After the riverboat gambling activity before the November referendum, Michigan City officials have hit a bit of a lull. “We’re in sort of a holding pattern,” says Michigan City Mayor Behler.

Feb. 1, 2009 — The Pittsburgh Steelers rally to outlast the Arizona Cardinals and earn their sixth Super Bowl win.
